Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time instructor to join our Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement. Typical responsibilities include preparing and delivering evening, weekend, and web-based courses in Mathematics, use of learning management systems, participation in mandatory college activities, and preparing instructional materials and assessing student performance.
To be considered, you'll need a Master's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a related field OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Statistics. You should demonstrate effective communication and organization skills, show evidence of the depth of knowledge, background, and continual development in the field of teaching and area of expertise, and have one year or more of tutoring or teaching experience.
Stark State has implemented recruiting tools such as Humanly and Skill Survey to improve hiring efficiency. The college utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with employment eligibility laws. Candidates selected for employment must either reside in Ohio or be willing to relocate to Ohio.
