Responsibilities:
As a Consulting AR/Medical Billing Specialist, you will:
1. Provide expert consulting services to clients on accounts receivable and medical billing.
2. Analyze and optimize clients' revenue cycle and AR processes to improve cash flow and minimize bad debt.
3. Prepare, review, and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms and regulatory requirements.
4. Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and take necessary actions to encourage timely debt payments.
5. Conduct regular audits to ensure correct invoice and billing processes.
6. Resolve billing issues and customer complaints, providing excellent customer service.
7. Train and mentor client staff on best practices in AR and medical billing.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, and advise clients accordingly.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and A/R, preferably in the medical industry.
2. Proven experience as a consultant in the Accounting and Finance industry.
3. Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, codes, and regulations.
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
5. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear, understandable terms.
6. Strong customer service skills with a problem-solving attitude.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a relevant certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) is a plus.
