Job Description
Leap Beyond Childcare is seeking a warm, dependable, and experienced Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our growing team. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about working with young children, understands child development, and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Retired teachers are encouraged to apply, but retirement status is not required. We welcome experienced educators who enjoy making a meaningful impact in children's lives.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 12 ECE units required
• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center, preschool, family childcare home, or early learning program
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
• Experience completing child observations and developmental assessments
• Ability to create and implement lesson plans and learning activities
• Knowledge of classroom management and positive guidance techniques
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and engage children in a safe and nurturing environment
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans
• Conduct observations and document children's progress
• Support DRDP assessments and developmental tracking
• Maintain daily classroom schedules and routines
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness
• Participate in outdoor activities and active supervision of children
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies
• Maintain professional communication and confidentiality
