Join Our Team as a Family Law Paralegal Are you passionate about family law and looking to make a difference in the lives of clients going through challenging legal situations? IWANYSHYN & ASSOCIATES, a Pittsburgh-based law firm specializing in family law, including divorce, child custody, support, PFA, forensic accounting, wills, living wills, healthcare powers of attorney and related legal services, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join our team. As a full-time position located in Gibsonia, PA, you will have the opportunity to work with friendly staff and attorneys to get a well-rounded education in all aspects of family law and advanced technology including Microsoft 365 and Teams. We are a paperless firm and has been paperless before it became popular. We annually attend the ABA Tech Show in Chicago to come back with new technology and new strategies to make the firm run easier. We generally communicate with each othr using Microsoft Teams through either a Chat or a Facebook type conversation. If you are supremely organized and efficient we are willing to work with you on Hybrid hours or days. Your appearance at the office is not necessarily required although we plan on weekly update meetings. Our forensic accounting is unique and unsurpassed so if you like accounting investigation there may be opportunities there as well. However, our greatest need is a senior-type paralegal who can draft pleadings, intimately eview discovery responses and prepare discovery grids along with Motions to Compel. We used advanced software to prepare Marital Asset and Liability Summaries for court as well as for child support computations for settlement purposes and for use at a hearing. We use document templates so you are never creating something from scratch Daily Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, trial preparation, and appellate work Draft pleadings and legal documents for various family law cases Conduct legal research using Pennsylvania Bar Association Decisis Program Prepare briefs and assist with motion practice Provide support in oral advocacy and client communication Create and manage calendars and tasks Execute document management interface with clients through telephonic and electronic tools Required Skills: Experience in drafting legal pleadings and documents using cloud-based Case Management Software Knowledge of civil procedure and family law Strong research and writing skills Ability to work on multiple cases simultaneously Excellent oral advocacy skills Task and document management expertise Nice to Have Skills: Familiarity with simple wills, healthcare powers of attorney, living wills and deeds Notary Public Knowledge of forensic accounting techniques to disclose hidden assets and income for support Knowledge of magisterial procedures to collect fees Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary: $60,000.00 Maximum Salary: $75,000.00 401(k) retirement plan Medical Reimbusement Account Vacation and sick leave Paid holidays Free parking Company Information: IWANYSHYN & ASSOCIATES is a Pittsburgh-based law firm specializing in family law, including divorce, child custody, represen tation in PFA matters, complex forensic accounting practices and related legal services.
