Job Title: Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst
Location: Austin, TX (Fully Onsite)
Shift: Day Shift
Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $70.00 - $80.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employment Type: Contract (6 months, potential extension)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

We are seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst to step into a high-impact, hands-on role supporting a highly technical, engineering-driven environment. This individual will serve as the primary GRC resource, partnering closely with security and engineering teams to drive vendor risk, compliance, and security-related initiatives forward.
This is not a traditional compliance role. This position requires someone who can operate independently, engage directly with engineers, and take ownership of GRC activities in a fast-paced, less structured environment.
Key Responsibilities - Own vendor risk management activities, including security questionnaires and vendor assessments
- Partner with engineering and security teams to gather, validate, and communicate technical security information
- Manage and respond to a high volume of security and compliance-related requests
- Support internal compliance initiatives and reporting, including coordination with global teams
- Communicate regularly with international stakeholders and provide updates on compliance activities
- Contribute to building and improving GRC processes, workflows, and documentation
- Track and drive completion of security and compliance tasks across teams
Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in GRC, security compliance, or vendor risk management
- Experience working directly with technical teams such as engineering, IT, or security
- Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
- Experience managing security questionnaires and vendor risk assessments
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of responsibilities in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in semiconductor, hardware, or technology-focused environments
- Background in IT, cybersecurity, or security operations prior to GRC
- Experience building or improving GRC programs or processes
- Comfort working in environments with evolving structure and competing priorities
What Success Looks Like - Quickly takes ownership of vendor risk and compliance activities currently supported by engineering teams
- Builds strong working relationships with technical stakeholders
- Demonstrates confidence in driving conversations and following through on deliverables
- Brings structure and organization to a fast-paced, evolving GRC function
