Job Position: Inspector

Location: Plainfield, IL 60544

Pay Rate: $15.70/hr

Shift: Second Shift

Description: Inspector-2nd Shift
Inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications according to instructions and cycles using manual and electronic measuring instruments or visual quality inspection.
Inspects first/last piece of production run.
Approves or rejects inspected parts and informs immediately shift lead or operations manager of any non-conformance.
Makes sure non-conforming material is contained and labeled per established guidelines.
Populates VSPC data in computer system and completes inspection paperwork accordingly.
Arranges disposition of rework and/or non conforming products or material in a timely manner. Reworks and/or sorts parts as needed or directed.
Verifies production and shipping labels to meet specifications.
Establishes and maintains communication and information flow about any quality issues with shift preceding and subsequent
Quality Inspectors; creates daily reports.
Supports continuous improvement activities and makes recommendations to supervisor
There will be two hours training prior to shift start
All 2nd shift employees start at 3:00pm their 1st day (unless Friday then 1:00pm)
