Growing boutique litigation firm in downtown Minneapolis is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2–4+ years of experience in commercial or civil litigation who is looking for greater hands-on responsibility, direct client engagement, and long-term growth. The firm fosters a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where associates are entrusted with meaningful work.

This role is ideal for an attorney with a solid litigation foundation and prior law firm experience who is ready to take the next step in developing their practice within a high-performing boutique environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and written discovery
• Manage discovery processes, including taking and defending depositions
• Appear in court for hearings and related proceedings
• Assist with case strategy, trial preparation, and execution
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Collaborate closely with partners on case development and overall litigation strategy

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed in Minnesota (or ability to obtain admission promptly)
• 2+ years of experience in commercial or civil litigation
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Experience with motion practice and discovery management
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
• Interest in working in a collaborative, high-performing boutique environment
