Job title : Medical Assembler

Client : Medical device manufacturing company

Duration : 1 Year

Location : Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

Shift : 2nd Shift (3:30 PM to 2:00 AM)

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Skilled at Assembler I tasks
• Assembles devices on 2+ product lines at/above standard rate
• Follows Quality System Policies and written procedures
• Maintains accurate production documentation (Device History Records, Data Sheets, Lot Control)
• Follows priorities, schedules, assignments, job standards
• Learns and adapts to new procedures and product/tech changes
• Cross-trains on various product lines; may help train others
• Applies LEAN principles to improve metrics
• Reports material shortages; maintains safe work environment
• Meets attendance standards; works overtime/shifts as needed
• Uses time effectively, avoids unnecessary distractions
• Volunteers in Shared Leadership activities (Kanban, Calibration, Metrics Board)
• Performs all other essential duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with 1-2 years of medical device assembly or ISO certified assembly experience
• Without high school diploma: 2-3 years of medical device/ISO certified assembly experience
• Ability to communicate via phone, email, or in person
• Able to follow verbal and written work instructions
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Can work in a clean room environment
• Ability to perform repetitive work per set procedures
• Knowledge of GDP, GMP, and Lean Manufacturing preferred
• Maintains confidentiality of documents/processes
• Fine motor skills, dexterity, and eye-hand coordination for small parts
• Can operate manufacturing/measurement equipment (microscopes, calipers, rulers, etc.) after training
• Basic MS Windows + site-specific PC programs (with training)
