Senior Oncology Sales Specialist (OSS) Location: Oregon (Any City). Field‑Based role reporting to a District Manager. Position Overview Responsible for driving sales of oncology therapeutics within the assigned territory, leveraging clinical expertise and marketplace knowledge to meet sales targets. Key Responsibilities Fulfill sales strategies by selling current and potential new oncology therapeutics. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the products’ clinical efficacy, provide clinical support/information as needed, and achieve sales quota. Conduct business analysis, actively prospect for new business within the assigned territory, develop account strategies with the District Manager to increase sales. Develop customer‑specific pre‑ and post‑call plans that include objectives, probes, and supporting materials. Build customer dedication, identify and cultivate new relationships, and influence decision‑makers with targeted sales messages based on accurate clinical information. Use approved sales and marketing materials and execute marketing strategies at the local level. Collaborate effectively with JNJ Innovative Medicine team members and counterparts to share ideas and information. Maintain knowledge of reimbursement, sales potential, patient mix, Managed Care organizations, Specialty Pharmacies, and new treatment modalities. Attend and participate in all required sales meetings; complete training curriculum, meeting standards, and administrative responsibilities efficiently. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Oncology specialty sales experience and/or major hospital account sales experience. Minimum of two (2) years of direct selling experience in pharmaceutical or biologic/biotech with documented success in delivering sales results and achieving targets. Experience in hospital and large account sales, understanding of complex reimbursement and managed care dynamics with a documented history of successful sales performance in a competitive environment. Strong relationship building skills and ability to identify key decision makers. Strong achievement motivation to meet and exceed goals. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as necessary, including overnights and/or weekends. Residing in the geography or willing to relocate to Oregon. Effective use of virtual technology and history of engaging customers in virtual face‑to‑face interactions. Preferred Qualifications Hematology and/or rare disease specialty sales experience and a deep understanding of the Oncology market.
