Overview Part-Time Faculty - Political Science Continuous Applicant Pool Salary: $75.00 Hourly Job Type: Part-Time Faculty Job Number: PTF-POLSCI Closing: Continuous Location: Imperial, CA Division: Math & Sciences Representative Duties Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and established course outlines as assigned based on the needs of the college. Assignments are based upon availability of classes, seniority, and qualifications, including conducting classes, class preparation, student evaluation, course syllabus, assessing and evaluating student learning outcomes, and other related duties. Maintain and submit accurate records according to published deadlines (e.g., grades, syllabi, attendance reports). Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position. Advise students on academic matters. Maintain competency in the field. Minimum Qualifications An applicant may qualify for this position by having education and experience equivalent to the listed degrees. To be considered for equivalency, the candidate must submit college transcripts and a complete description of work experience with their application. Master's in political science, government, or international relations; OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in economics, history, public administration, social science, sociology, any ethnic studies, JD or LL.B.; OR the equivalent. Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
