Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – 1099 Independent Contractor Company: Nova Medical Services Location: Miami-Dade County, FL Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Position Summary: Nova Medical Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as an independent contractor in the Miami area. The provider will deliver high-quality psychiatric care, conduct evaluations, manage medications, and support ongoing patient treatment plans. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits Provide medication management and mental health education Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Ensure compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and billing requirements Collaborate with internal clinical staff as needed while maintaining independent practice responsibilities Manage your own schedule within the assigned patient caseload Qualifications Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in the State of Florida Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Minimum of 1–2 years of psychiatric experience preferred Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Ability to practice independently under the 1099 model Excellent communication and organizational skills Compensation & Schedule Compensation: Competitive per-visit and per-procedure rates based on complexity and specialty. Schedule: Monday through Friday, with holidays off (unpaid). This is a 1099 independent contractor position, and you will be responsible for managing your own taxes and benefits.
