Job Description

Overview Johnson&Johnson’s Innovative Medicine division seeks a Rare Disease Account Manager (RAM) to lead sales efforts for Immunology Autoantibody Diseases across Phoenix South, Tucson, and New Mexico. This field‑based role focuses on driving demand and maximizing market share in a specialized therapeutic area. Key Responsibilities Own the local healthcare market (LHM), develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify patient opportunities, drive demand, and remove fulfillment barriers. Build and sustain strong, trusting relationships with customers, influencing key stakeholders to ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded. Leverage approved marketing resources to effectively demonstrate clinical value and support patient access and affordability options. Analyze qualitative and quantitative market data to assess business opportunities and priorities; build LHM‑specific business and account plans. Serve as the quarterback of the LHM team, setting strategy, collaborating with cross‑functional partners, driving alignment, and ensuring priorities are set appropriately. Collaborate within the LHM to secure formulary status with key health systems and centers of excellence. Influence a variety of stakeholders, including C & D suite executives, to drive adoption and pull‑through. Build and strengthen relationships with LHM partners such as local infusion service providers. Support critical educational initiatives within the LHM. Effectively manage the territory budget and develop future thought leaders in collaboration with Thought Leader Liaisons. Execute all work to the highest level of compliance, demonstrating Johnson&Johnson values as a role model within the LHM. Required Qualifications BA/BS degree. Minimum five years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least three years in specialty sales and/or key account management. High level of clinical, product, and business acumen. Proven track record of consistent high sales performance and leadership. Excellent collaborative selling skills. Strong planning, organizing, and execution capabilities. Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment. Travel up to 75%, based on territory needs. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic region. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling to large customer types such as managed care or large institutions. Significant rare diseases experience, particularly in neurology and hematology. Ability to prioritize critical business drivers and align field partners around them. Demonstrated peer leadership, mentorship, and coaching without formal authority. Superior communication skills and excellent follow‑through.
