Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice academic pediatric hospital medicine within a collaborative, mission-driven environment while maintaining schedule flexibility.
Position Overview
The Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalist will:
Provide comprehensive inpatient care on pediatric inpatient units
Deliver care in well-newborn nurseries and same-day medical units
Mentor and supervise medical students and residents
Share call, weekend, and holiday coverage with other clinical faculty in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Remain current with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Academic & Scholarly Responsibilities
As part of the mission of the medical school, candidates will:
Engage in scholarly and outreach activities
Participate in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education programs
Contribute to resident and student education
Collaborate on research initiatives as appropriate
Perform additional academic duties as assigned by the Chair of Pediatrics and the Division Director of Hospital Medicine, who will serve as mentor

Qualifications
Board Certified in Pediatrics
Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine
Eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
Compensation
$120/hour – Weekdays
$150/hour – Weekends
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
