Crestview Aerospace Overview

Crestview Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to print assemblies. Crestview Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 300 professionals.

Description

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and skilled Structural Assembler to join our high-performance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of structural components, ensuring they meet precise specifications, blueprints, and quality standards. Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to assemble complex structural components.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble, fabricate, and install components to exact specifications.
  • Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions of parts to ensure they meet design accuracy and quality standards.
  • Operate machinery such as drills, grinders, hoists, and other equipment to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform routine quality checks to ensure assembled products adhere to all technical and safety specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to meet and exceed project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with company and safety standards.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and management instructions to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Adapt to shift requirements, including weekends and overtime, as needed to meet business needs.

Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Structural Assembler, or in a similar hands-on assembly or fabrication role.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings to accurately assemble components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete assembly tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in an environment that includes noise, vibration, and proximity to moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions, as well as maintain visual acuity for inspection and assembly tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and proprietary data.
  • Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and overtime when required.
  • Adherence to company policies, procedures, and management instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or construction industries.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, though not required.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves as required. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. May involve occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.
