We are seeking a bright, dynamic, qualified individual to serve as a member of our EPI-LA Early Psychosis Team in the Culver City and greater Los Angeles area. The EPI-LA Early Psychosis Program targets adolescents and young adults between 12 and 25, integrating community outreach, education and networking with clinical services delivered by EPI-LA teams. The focus of the teams is to reduce the incidence of first‑episode psychosis in consumers with a clinical high risk for psychosis, as well as to reduce potential long‑term disability in this population. Teams will consist of dedicated staff trained on the Portland Identification and Early Referral (EPI‑LA) Program model. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 months of experience advocating for clients in education and work. Minimum 2 years experience providing and advocating for employment and work. Experience assessing clients’ educational and/or employment needs and recommending strategies to help clients meet their goals. Strong social and communication skills, verbal and written, to work with and within a multidisciplinary treatment team and ability to flex work schedule to accommodate client needs and EPI‑LA model community outreach activities. Ability to collaborate with community partners and develop, coordinate, and oversee supportive educational and employment resources in accordance with the EPI‑LA model program. Valid CA driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance; willing to drive in the community when needed. Job Summary Primary focus on helping clients make appropriate accommodations to keep them engaged or re‑engage in school and/or job/employment activities in close collaboration and coordination with the EPI‑LA multidisciplinary treatment team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Actively participate in community outreach to identify schools, service providers, cultural and religious organizations, etc., that have contacts with youth 12–25 years and provide psychoeducation on recognizing symptoms of risk for psychosis to generate EPI‑LA referrals. Assist clients with the development and implementation of personal goals and objectives based on client strengths and areas of interest related to academic success, executive functioning skills, independent living skills, health and wellness, jobs, internships, careers, or social connections. Provide support to clients in achieving educational and/or employment goals and coordinate all aspects of client program plans by maintaining regular communication with the treatment team, including active participation in multidisciplinary case reviews twice a week, weekly supervision, and all other reviews and meetings as required by the EPI‑LA Program and directed by the supervisor. Attend and participate in all staff meetings, weekly supervision, and required trainings. Ensure proper and accurate documentation and data collection, and timely submission of case notes, reports, billing logs, mileage, and other program needs. Maintain confidential client notes and meet all paperwork deadlines weekly. Respond to all client‑related emails or phone calls within 24 hours during the business week. Communicate with supervisor and the treatment team immediately in case of crisis or pre‑determined "red flag" situations. Ensure compliance with all program and agency policies and procedures. Comply with applicable professional licensing or certification requirements and ethical standards. Arrange work schedule of required hours to benefit the EPI‑LA Program and clients with approval of the EPI‑LA Program Coordinator. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
