Description: This is the most important role that we have. Our teachers are the face of our company to our clientele and (more importantly) the students; They are what will determine the quality of care we are perceived to, and ultimately do, provide. In this role there are crucial skills and personality traits that must be present in order to succeed. This description will list these traits and be followed by a day-to-day summary of what the position entails. The first trait is conscientiousness. Someone who is conscientious can be described as orderly, diligent, and timely. Having an above average level of conscientiousness is essential for many reasons: organizing daily tasks, ensuring adequate teaching time, keeping the daily schedule, and more. The second trait is openness. Someone who is high in openness has a great imagination, tends to be curious, and is attentive / aware of ones inner feelings. Openness is important to both teaching and a healthy professional environment. Having an above average level of openness assists with communication by allowing one to be genuine about ones feelings, communicate, and resolve them. Furthermore, as our name imagine suggests, we are centered around imagination. For our teachers this can mean genuine student conversating, passionate teaching, and higher job satisfaction. Daily responsibilities will start with ensuring the safety of our students & upholding an environment conducive to learning. The next responsibility is implementing a developed curriculum. While the curriculum is provided the method of delivery is open to interpretation. The curriculum is Montessori based and does provide teachers with freedom to "truly" teach. We do not desire to place the work of "developing" a curriculum on our teachers shoulders; Only the task of successful implementation and execution. Another task will be to track and record progress of our students. Other various responsibilities include excellent parent interactions, cleaning, and problem resolution. If this sounds like a position that would fit you please feel free to apply and we will be in touch.
