Our mission from day one has been to set the highest standards of quality, timeliness, and client service in the practice of radiology.Job SummaryThe Credentialing Specialist primarily serves as the liaison between Vision Radiology (Organization) and the Organization's contracted applicants and appointees to perform credentialing verifications and grant initial and reappointment privileges, as applicable. This individual works with applicants and appointees as well as external facilities to obtain verifications and documentation as required by Organization bylaws, processes, and procedures. Special projects pertaining to the Physician Services department may also be assigned as needed.Role ResponsibilitiesEvaluate Organization procedures and bylaws, determine opportunities for efficiencies, and develop action plansInitiate and manage workflow for internal credentialing processes to obtain initial and reappointment privileges per the Organization's Bylaws and compliance requirementsEnsure assigned applications, verifications, reports, and other supporting documents of Organization Applicants or Appointees are complete and delivered in a timely mannerAccountable for presentation of completed files to the Organization's Management Team for recommendation of approval on all assigned initial appointments and reappointments, to include other actions in accordance with the Physician Services BylawsWork proactively to resolve issues before they impact applicants' and appointees' ability to provide servicesDepartment SpecificAccept safety and quality of patient care, treatment, and services as a responsibility and priorityEstablish and maintain positive working relationships between staff members, including physicians, and external contactsMaintain a working knowledge of the Organization's procedures and bylawsParticipate in the implementation of applicable Physician Services processes and proceduresMaintain credentialing database with a high level of accuracy, detail, and consistency in record-keeping practicesAccountable for the proper utilization of any computer software program(s) necessary to support the credentialing process and for maintaining the database. This includes, but is not limited to data entry and the saving of appropriate documents directly into the database; maintaining data sufficient to pre-populate applications supported by the databasePerforming and participating in regular audits of the credentialing database to ensure accuracyStrictly comply with all Organization and Healthcare Entity Bylaws and policies, accrediting body standards, and laws governing the healthcare industryOther related responsibilities as assignedQualifications And Education RequirementsMinimum of High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of administrative experience in Healthcare preferredOther Skills And KnowledgeMust be detail-oriented and highly organizedMust be an effective communicator who consistently demonstrates above-average verbal and written skillsMust be capable of learning and working effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervisionMust be an engaged and collaborative employee who can constructively receive and share feedbackDemonstrated ability to deliver timely and accurate work in a deadline-driven environmentDemonstrated ability to work in a fully electronic records system with minimal physical paperworkDemonstrated ability to use independent judgment and critical thinking skillsDemonstrated ability to adapt to changeDemonstrated ability to prioritize workloadCompany Benefits401(k) matchingMedical/Dental/Vision InsuranceFSA or HSAPaid time offParental leaveVariety of company perk programs (health & wellness, learning & development, etc.)J-18808-Ljbffr
