As a Maintenance Technician at New Story Schools, you will help create and maintain safe, functional, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff. You will perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements that keep our schools running smoothly every day.
What Youll Need
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of experience in general maintenance or repair services
Extensive drywall installation, repair, patching, and finishing experience required
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between regional school sites
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
What Youll Do
Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections across school facilities
Maintain building grounds, equipment, and tools to ensure operational readiness
Address and resolve maintenance requests promptly to prevent safety hazards
Support snow removal, landscaping, and facility upkeep throughout the year
Travel between assigned locations to provide maintenance and facilities support as needed
